Welcome to a New Way of Seeing
The journey of navigating vision loss or a rare diagnosis is one that no one should have to walk in isolation. There is an incredible, life-changing power in surrounding yourself with peers who truly "get it"—people who understand the unfiltered frustrations, the daily hacks, and the unique triumphs that others simply might not see. When we connect with those walking a similar path, we realize that while our challenges are real, they don't define us; they connect us.
My mission is to foster a world where everyone can lead with "inner vision," seeing beyond what eyes can see to the deep potential within us all. This starts by creating inclusive spaces where radical empathy and shared wisdom are the foundation. Whether you are seeking professional empowerment or personal connection, finding your community is the first step toward moving from simply surviving to truly thriving.
Even if you aren’t ready to join a group, I want you to know that you are not alone. I am here for you. If you need a one-on-one connection, a listening ear, or just a bit of encouragement, you can use my scheduling link below to talk with me directly, or reach out anytime at Empower@SayyidaVictoria.com.
I’m Better Blind: The Real Talk Peer Support Group
Because sometimes, the only people who "get it" are the ones walking the same path.
I’m Better Blind is a relaxed, open-mic style support group for blind and visually impaired individuals. This isn't a lecture or a formal class—it’s a gathering of peers who understand that while blindness has made us stronger, the daily obstacles are real.
Whether you are new to vision loss or have been navigating it for years, this is your space to share the "unfiltered" side of blindness—the frustrations, the hacks, the laughs, and the hurdles that sighted society doesn't always see.
What This Group Is About:
- Relatable Challenges: Discussing the daily obstacles only we understand (from navigating tech glitches to handling social awkwardness).
- Crowdsourced Solutions: Sharing "how-to" ideas and life hacks to overcome specific barriers.
- Authentic Empowerment: Lifting each other up through honest conversation, not just platitudes.
- Open Floor: No rigid agendas. We talk about what you want to bring to the table each month.
Meeting Details
- When: 2nd Saturday of every month
- Time: 11:00 AM CT
- Where: Zoom (A relaxed, virtual space to connect from home)
- Facilitator: Sayyida Victoria Hillard

A monthly virtual gathering designed specifically for blind and visually impaired women aged 40 and up. Our Purpose

- Shared Wisdom: From career navigation and family life to the best accessible tech and self-care tips, we are each other's greatest consultants.
